"It's about breaking boundaries. I've been making beats in the studio for years, and Zeta's midi technology allows me to take that experience and apply it to my fiddle playing. There's nothing more thrilling than feeling the dance floor tremble to our trance jam in Devil Went Down to Georgia."

Says Joseph about the ZETA Strados Fusion Uprite: “It allows me to relax, while retaining that upright sound. It responds well and there are less dead spots than on my true upright.”

Bio
Joseph Patrick Moore, born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and now residing in metro Atlanta, is a versatile and accomplished bassist working in a wide variety of musical settings. He is also a highly sought after composer and arranger.

Joseph has been seen with Jazz artists James Williams, Herb Ellis, Gil Scott Heron and Donald Brown. He has also performed with Jerry Lewis and Marie Osmond.  Joseph’s versatility has also been demonstrated on the bandstand with the likes of John Popper, Derek Trucks and Rob Wasserman, to name a few.  In 1996 he released a CD title " Never Never Land " and in early 1997 he was nominated for a Premier Player Award by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

At age 7, Joseph began his musical studies on the alto saxophone. Upon entering High School, he began playing drums in the school’s marching band.

At age 17 he took up electric bass and began studying in earnest with Woody Herman alumnus Rusty Holloway. Subsequently, Mr. Moore received a full scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he concentrated on classical and jazz performance. Under the tutelage of Jerry Coker, Donald Brown and Rusty Holloway, Joseph earnestly pursued the contrabass as well as continuing his studies with the electric bass.

After two and a half years at UT he relocated to Memphis to attend the University of Memphis and to pursue more and greater performing opportunites. Shortly after his arrival he found himself ensconced on the Historic Beale St. scene performing nightly with the Charlie Wood Trio at
King’s Palace Cafe. During this time he continued to develop his musical skills by working many studio sessions, teaching, and touring around the
southeast.

Since his arrival in Atlanta in May of 1997, Joseph continues to perform in both Jazz and a touring schedule with Planet Zambee Featuring Col. Bruce Hampton. He remains active as a composer and arranging and is completing his
second CD titled "Soulcloud" scheduled for release in the spring of 2000.
