Elegant yet practical in design, Zeta’s Educator Modern violin brings new Form and Function to Music Education. A professional quality instrument that is the workhorse of the teaching studio, the Educator Modern violin has been specifically designed for use by music teachers and students. From recitals and live performances to classroom teaching and practice, the Educator Modern violin delivers excellent analog and MIDI tone and stylistic versatility.
The Educator Modern violin has been upgraded with Zeta's Jazz violin pickup system to maximize the MIDI and performance capabilities of the instrument as a teaching tool for educators. Whether used as an analog pickup or a digital MIDI pickup in conjunction with the Zeta Synthony II MIDI Controller / Synthesizer (sold separately), the Educator Modern violin’s Jazz Series pickup system delivers clarity of tone without extraneous overtones, harmonics or noise.
Zeta's proprietary internal active preamp system increases the power of the pickup signal from the Jazz Series pickup. This high-tech innovation provides a wide range of amplification flexibility, supporting a variety of tonal characteristics suitable to diverse playing techniques and styles of music. An internal 9-volt battery provides over 1,000 hours of service on average.
- For recital performances use the standard 1/4” analog output jack and Zeta’s AP-12 Amplifier to fill the concert hall with rich, feedback-free sound.
- Explore the world of digital music through Zeta’s proprietary MULTI-OUT MIDI output jack and rack-mountable String Port MIDI Controller / Synthesizer.
A state-of-the-art design, Zeta’s trademark Modern form employs simplified body lines with extreme cutaways to create an exceptionally lightweight instrument. An innovative "bolt-on" neck design provides increased structural integrity at the neck/body joint
Another new feature of The Educator Modern Violin is a lightweight Mahogany body which keeps the violin light in weight with a traditional wood finish.
Standard features include a 4-string maple neck with ebony fingerboard, quality chin rest, tailpiece with fine tuners, ebony tuning pegs, and on-board volume control.
