Elegant yet practical in design, Zeta’s Educator Classic violin brings new Form and Function to Music Education. A professional quality instrument that is the workhorse of the teaching studio, the Educator Classic violin has been specifically designed for use by music teachers and students. From recitals and live performances to classroom teaching and practice, the Educator Classic violin delivers excellent acoustic-electric tone and stylistic versatility.
Zeta's E-Series violin pickup system delivers a rich, natural acoustic sounding string tone. Whether used as an analog pickup or a digital MIDI pickup in conjunction with the Zeta Synthony II MIDI Controller / Synthesizer (sold separately), the Educator Classic violin’s E-Series pickup system delivers beautiful tone without feedback.
Zeta's proprietary internal active preamp system increases the power of the pickup signal from the E-Series pickup. This high-tech innovation provides a wide range of amplification flexibility, supporting a variety of tonal characteristics suitable to diverse playing techniques and styles of music. An internal 9-volt battery provides over 1,000 hours of service on average.
- Plug headphones into the auxiliary output jack for practice privacy.
- “Play-a-long” with the music by connecting a CD player or other music source into the auxiliary input jack.
- Use the built-in volume control to blend the level of the incoming music signal with the volume of the instrument to get the perfect “practice mix”.

Drawing upon traditional violin design, Zeta’s Educator Classic violin employs simplified classical violin body lines. Deep waist cutaways and a highly sculpted back create a lightweight solid body design with the overall shape and key reference dimensions of a traditional acoustic violin. An innovative "bolt-on" neck design provides increased structural integrity at the neck/body joint. Ultra lightweight natural-finish California redwood keeps the body feather light.
Standard features include a 4-string maple neck with ebony fingerboard, quality chin rest, tailpiece with fine tuners, ebony tuning pegs, and on-board volume control.
Exclusive to Zeta, a deluxe soft-padded zippered gig bag is included with the Educator Classic violin, providing portability with protection.
